About
Hi, I’m Laura—the “David” in David Bookkeeping (yep, it’s a family name!).

I graduated from Drake University with majors in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Information Systems, then spent a decade as a database administrator happily organizing data. Later, as a security auditor, I learned how to protect that data. But it was when I started managing the books for our family business that I found my true calling.

Funny enough, my college accounting professor used to write “Future accountant?!” on my exams. I guess he saw it coming before I did.

Now, I help small business owners bring order to their finances so they can breathe easier, make confident decisions, and get back to doing what they love. I’m based in Greenfield, Iowa—just a short drive from Des Moines and Creston—and I truly enjoy making bookkeeping feel a little less overwhelming (and maybe even a little fun).​
